"The most valued type of Nishikigoi in Japan is the Kohaku. There is an old koi farmer adage that your first koi purchased will be a Kohaku and that your last koi purchased will be a Kohaku. This show quality specimen fills these shoes weather this is your first Kohaku purchased or your last. She has a perfect "10" Sandan pattern of three balanced Hi steps of scarlet red against a snow white blanket. Her Kiwa and Sashi are of razor sharp lines that divide her magnificent Hi pattern from her snow white Shiro body. Her white nose is in perfect harmony to her symmetrical three step pattern and rare proportioned Odami(white break before the tail).
