WINNER at the ZNA Southern California Koi Show!

86cm Kohaku (5-step pattern)
Oyama bred
9 year old female

Sold to Duke Nguyen

In a class that is seen only at the All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo, this 34 inch Kohaku has the magnificent quality to be “Grand Champion”. With her unusual five step hi pattern, deep intense scarlet red color, snow white shiro and powerful body conformation, this beauty is a winner! Her youthful appearance is a rarity on koi of this size with few existing in Japan today, not to mention the US. This valuable gem was reared in the warm, pristine waters of Southern Japan to compete in the upcoming 35th/2003 All Japan Koi Show. After much persuasion to the Umeda family, who owns and operates one of Japan’s largest Nishikigoi farms, they agreed to sell this stunning animal to eldonkoi. We are honored to have had this opportunity to import such a beautiful Kohaku to America.

"The term - ARASHI KUMO - translated simply means "Storm Clouds." This term describes the distinct pattern of Sumi, Kage Sumi (shadow) and white which all work together to form the Storm Clouds on this Tancho Showa's massive body. Rising just above the horizon is a perfect red-hot Glowing Sun breaking through the dark storm clouds to dawn the new day.

In my 30 years of importing Nishikigoi from Japan, I have never come across such an extremely rare and more beautiful Tancho Showa as this Spotlight Koi. This showa is truly a one-of-a-kind masterpiece from one of southern Japan's oldest Nishikigoi farms.  Owning this live "JEWEL" is an equivalent to owning a Picasso, Matisse or other great  master's art work. It could be you owning this magnificent work of art to swim in your gallery"

Subject: your sandan Kohaku won a Young Grand Champion
Date: Sun, 7 Oct 2001 14:42:01 -0400 (EDT)

Hi Mr. Eldon,
Yesterday, I entered your sandan Kohaku at the Water Garden World 2nd Annual Young Koi show. She won a Young Grand Champion. The judges (one from California, and the other in Florida) were very pleased with the fish. They said this is a lovely and perfect distinct 3 step kohaku. This Kohaku will continue to do a better job in future. A lot of people interviewed me. They asked me where I bought the fish and the price also. I told them that I bought from Eldon Koi with a price at bargain. I also told them that if they want a Grand Champion, Eldon Koi is the right place to purchase especially with good deal. That is what I can do to repay for the kindness and helpfulness you gave me.

Khanh.

20" Doragon Tancho Goshiki
Abe Maruhide bred, 2 year old female
$11,880

"Perhaps the rarest of them all, is this black dragon koi with a scarlet fiery red hot circle centered in the middle of her wide head. Not only is she by far our rarest find of the 2010 nishikigoi fall harvest season in Niigata, Japan, but one of a short list of all time at eldonkoi. Her body conformation is rated a perfect 10 with a large head, broad shoulders, and thick tail joint. Her colors are extreme with a thick coal-black blanket from nose to tail that is highlighted with a fiery scarlet red hot sun that glows in the center of her head. Her large pectoral, dorsal and tail fins are feathered adding a mysterious presence to this dark beautiful one of a kind living jewel of DRAGON descent."
